It's a piece of self-propelled artillery. As such, it should only rarely be seen on the battlefield, in scenarios representing some sort of unusual situation. Most of the time, it was back behind the FEBA firing indirectly via FOs. Yes, and what other gun would it have? Remember, historically accurate data. If you use it alot, I'll be glad to play you in PBEM and I'll laugh as its 20mm shells bounce off of my M4A1's cast hull.
