Hammer
is it possible to upgrade original version PBEM file to work in 1.1?
Kingfish
Yes, just open file in old version, save, reopen in 1.1, continue PBEM.
Hammer
Hmm, thatt seems kind of redundant. The file was saved when I closed it the last time, whasnt it? Why would I need to "save" it again? I think Im missing something
Maximus
No, not really. The PBEM .txt files aren't really saved. You need to save a PBEM "order phase" turn as you would normally for a single player game. Then upgrade to v1.1, then when you reopen the saved PBEM game file, it'll ask you to continue as HOT SEAT, PBEM, or TCP/IP. Click PBEM and it will now be updated to v1.1 status.
