And you get a couple of them together with a squadron protecting them. Just imagine what they could do from 30,000 feet. You could fly 300 miles of the coast of say China, and punch holes in the Three gorges Dam. Pretty scary. Imagine punching holes in a nuclear power plant? Hovering outside the range of suface fleet's SAMs and sinking each ship in turn. But for taking out tanks? Hmmm just stick a mirrored surface over your ablative armor. Or just hide your tank. I don't see the laser taking over land war for at least 50 years but the electromagnetic railgun that the US government is researching will be "THE" new weapon of land war. The EM Railgun does not care if the target is equppied with mirrors, ablative armor, the cool disrupters on the T-90, or even Chobbham armor.
