I believe most European nations have been using their current names for a few hundred years longer than we have --- some Asian countries even longer. By yr reasoning, our government is only 7 days old. I mean, we did just have a change of political control, right? Hardly. The United States has been using the [i[same governmental process for over 200 years. You'll remember when the US was formed Europe was in chaos, changing governments seemingly on the whim. You would later have the French revolution. Greece would get independance in 1827. Around 1848 you'd have Revolutions in Germany, Austria, France, Italy, and Belgium. The government of Britian would change dramaticaly in that time. A country's name hardly represents the government. Russia has been around a long time. It also has had several major changes of government.
