The FM on the M60 had a section on using the weapon in the indirect fire role. Now, as a 60 gunner, I never tried it or did we ever practice it. It was there though, for what it is worth.

And the counter-argument is two fold, should we be in peace-keeping/making and is it really better to mold a force to be ready for peace-keeping/making but unprepared for a major war or to have it ready for major war but less suited for peace-keeping/making? Why does some one from the deep south have an accent when talking to another in English? Why do Brits have an accent when talking (from an American's POV)? Accents are real, even with the same language.

Giving more order options is not always "micromanagment". Hell, in fact giving extra order options gets rid of some of the "micromanagment". For example, a "hull down" command. Is it "micromanagment" to use a "hull down" command as those against claim or is it "micromanagement" to zoom it and inspect terrain and emplace individual tanks yourself?

Unfortuantly, they never figured out how to "game" the mechanics of physics or had the benefit of map edges to secure flanks and so on. It is odd that those "pro-gamey" generally attack those who are not as trying to be too realistic but always seem to try and resort to realsim to explain why what they do is somehow not "gamey".

How do you know much about what the PBEM opponent selected?

Yes computer purchase is the way to go, IMO.

I play on a Pentium II 333, with Voodo 4.5 and 128MB Ram. Plays fine.
