karch
Is there any chance of the CMBB Mac application taking advantage of Alta Vec... or the Velocity Engine as Apple calls it? I have no idea how much it would help the 3D movies, but it would probably decrease movie generation times substantially if implemented. It wouldn't help iMac users (myself included) but G4 users would see a big speed increase. I know you are Mac users and have no idea myself on how much work would be needed to take advantage of either Alta vec or Multi Processors. Any word?? regards, Scott Karch PLEASE don't start a PC/Mac flame war. Start your own thread for that please. Thanks
Slapdragon
CM:BB is based closely on the CM:BO engine so it will likely not include any routines to pass processing to the altivec processors of the G4. Perhaps this is something BTS will look at (along with OSX support and multiprocessing) for CM:II.
