ComradeMonkey
I played the demo and was wondering if there will be different animations when a tank is destroyed. Like blowing of the turret or tracks? Or internal ammo secondary explosions? Is it possible for tanks to leave treadmarks?
Phoenix
You're playing the Gold Demo. This is the FINAL code. What you see, is what you get when the game ships.
Guest Ol' Blood & Guts
quote:
Originally posted by ComradeMonkey: Is it possible for tanks to leave treadmarks?

I believe tanks will be able to leave tracks in snow. (I think. ) Secondary explosions and stuff like that have been discussed before, and Phoenix is right, this is the Gold (Final) code for at least Version 1.0. Any bugs or problems that slowly creep up will probably be patched in as they see fit. Because really there isn't that many bugs at all. It's really a matter of how the three levels of AI handle the game engine. The AI may look like it cheats, but really it's just that damn good. ------------------ "Why don't we say that we took this one chance, and fought!" "Stupid humans. Mattias
Perhaps later comrade, a bit in CM2, some more in CM3 and onwards. The reason for this is that the features you are asking for are mostly eye candy while at the same time puts additional demands on the system, especially in the case of treadmarks here. But when CM is on the road and working there will no doubt be time spent on implement features that further enhances the feeling of immersion while not being pivotal for the functioning and playability of the game. This while the capacity of the computers used to play CM will increase steadily too. So, not now, but soon enough with BTS at the rudder M.
