Wargamers were never "the masses" unlike strategy and action games, and I don't think we can ever be. After all, it requires a certain amount of patience, intellect, and interest to learn the inns and outs of a game like CM. We all know about the quality of CM, if they want to reach the masses they will have to sell their game in stores. But as we all know they have a very good reason to stay independent and not sell otherwise than the internet.
