SuperTed
I am in the process of playing a PBEM of the Utrechtsewg operation and ran into something rather odd. My opponent and I finished Battle #1 and proceeded to set up our units for Battle #2, a night battle. When my opponent sent his (British) set-up, the end-of-battle screen appeared and said that 2 out of 12 battles were complete. Would there be a reason why Battle #2 would not have been fought? Thanks for your help. SuperTed
Guest Michael emrys
I don't suppose there is any chance either of you might have inadvertantly surrendered, is there? Michael
Moon
Hi Ted! This is intentional (although indeed a little bulky). I have set both sides so that they cannot initiate a night attack. This phase during the night - historically - has been used to lick wounds (according to my reading anyway). You can shift your forces around, but cannot attack, and after setup the game proceeds to the next battle. I had to keep the night in, on the other hand, since it's also the only way to simulate different days in CM, which - again - is necessary to simulate supply over several days. Uh... does that make sense? I just woke up Martin
