gene Posted September 27, 2000 Share Posted September 27, 2000 OK, I'm playing a delaying action (as Germans ), against the Poles ( I forgot the Scenario name ). I'm holding off the Polish infantry & Sherman V's with 4 Panzer Mark IV's & 2 Panther VG's, while the rest of my force exits the map. Here's the really good part; one of my Mark Iv's & a Sherman get involved in a one on one "gunfight". My first shot misses ( Hurry up & reload dammit! ). Second shot penetrates the Sherman's turret causing it to Brew-up. BUT BEFORE I COULD CONGRATULATE THE CREW, A ROUND FIRED BY THE SHERMAN ( A millisecond after mine?? )BLEW MY MARK IV TO BITS!! Mr. Clark Posted September 27, 2000 Share Posted September 27, 2000 I recently had a Sherman (don't remember what type now) firing long distance against 3 Tigers... the battle lasted about 4 minutes, with ricochetes, etc etc. Finally, the Tigers were defeated by the rest of my tanks flanking them. Also just recently had my first experience of a Tank Destroyer knocking itself out by firing point blank at infantry with it's main gun.
