I ahve used mailers beforethat ignore MIME formating and just dispay if the attachment is "just" text. Or maybe ask your opponent to clip the .txt extension so that the mailer doesn't know that its just text and keeps it intact as a file. Then when you get it you can rename and Bob's your auntie!
