Lanzfeld
Someone in another thread said something about getting the computer AI to play itself. Is it possible and how do I do it? I am a BIG fan of AAR and this would let me analyze some of the computers moves. Thanks

Guest Thomas William Davie
Quite simple; pbem .vs. pbem. It really is fascinating to watch the battle unfold, if a bit time consuming to process the moves. Lanzfeld
How do you process the movies??? How do you set it up for AI vs AI??
Colin
Fionn said in another thread that you can't. If you don't give orders to either side they will just sit there not get up and play by themselves (its self?). Just think about it for a second. ------------------ Visit my webpage! http://cm4mac.tripod.com

Guest Ol' Blood & Guts
Yes, upon starting a PBEM vs PBEM game you are only invoking/watching the TAC-AI (unit surrival instincts) at work. Because in a sense you are watching two "human" opponents pitted against one another. The ONLY time you can get all three AI's working together is a human playing the computer. The THREE AI's are: OPERATIONAL-AI: How the computer decides what objectives to go after, this will continously change or be overidden by the STRATEGIC-AI STRATEGIC-AI: How the computer decides how to go after the OPERATIONAL-AI's objectives. ie. Attack directly or from the flanks and with what TACTICAL-AI: The ability of the units to do whatever it takes to survive to the best of their abilities and current situation, ie. a tank reversing back behind a ridge after taking a pop shot at something I think that's accurate, correct me if I'm wrong guys. ------------------ "I want you to remember that...no bastard ever won a war...by dying for his country...He won it...by making the other poor dumb bastard...die for his country."--George S.
