PanzerShark
Oke, i'm one of the unlucky that hasn't received CM yet. I like to dedicate this post to these people by singing a great, romantic song. I hope everybody that feels sorry for us to contribute by sending in another song. Combat Mission Rhapsody (Bohemian parody ofcourse) **info: in this song the Germans are bad, in real life they are not ** Is this the Eastern Front? Is that a tank i see? Stuck in a mudpool, no escape from that APC. Trying to hide, so he might just let me be. I'm just a rookie, everything's scaring me. Cause i'm easely scared, little wimp, don't like blood, and hate limbs Crying when a gun goes, is there no one aiming at me?...at me... Mama...i just killed a man, had no choice it was him or me, i only hope he was from Germany. Mama...war has just begun and now i have to join it all the way. Mama..ohoohoo, didn't mean to shoot that guy, but i think i'll do the same again..tommorow, killing here, shooting there, cause it doesn't really matter. *piano* Too late, reinforcements came, suddenly it's no more fun, would be best if i just run. Goodbye everybody, try to hold them down, i just need some time before i reach the town. Mama..oohoohoohoo (anywhere a tank goes), I don't wanna die, sometimes i wished i'd never signed up at all. teeewweenjaaaaanniiiihhuuu *gitar intermezzo* I see a little silhouetto of a thing, Tiger Tank? PanzerSchreck?, do you think they have seen me? Mortars all around us, making nasty sounds indeed. General Patton (General Patton), General Patton (General Patton), General Patton give us ammo, or 20 Shermans or soohooohooohooo. I'm just a rookie, nobody spots me, he's more a dumbass, climbing high in that tree. He will die soon from that Flak-battery. Easy now, try to hide, hope i won't show. Panzer ANGRIFF...NOOOOOOO i thought i didn't show Let me go, Panzer ANGRIFF, he thought he didn't show, LET him go Panzer ANGRIFF, HE is what we load. Let him go Will not let him go, let him go Will not let him go, let him go Will not let him go, let him go-oo-ooo-ooo NEIN nein nein nein nein nein nein !!! Oh Heino Bradwurst, Heino Bradwurst, Heino Bradwurst let him go. A Tiger Tank has just fired a round at me, at me, at MEEEEEEEEEEEEEE !! **headbanging and guitar** So you think you can outrun a Tiger Tank Shell? So you think you are fast and that you will do well? Ooh Rookie, you will not be that lucky. Your just gonna get blast, just gonna get blast into pieces. **piano again** Nothing realy matters, everyone can see, pieces all around them, pieces that once used to be little meeeeee. (anywhere a tank goes) **the end** Touching eh? Made me cry while writing it Hope you had fun, God bless you and GOOD NIGHT *PanzerShark leaves the stage**

Bullethead
ROTFLMAO ------------------ -Bullethead It was a common custom at that time, in the more romantic females, to see their soldier husbands and sweethearts as Greek heroes, instead of the whoremongering, drunken clowns most of them were. However, the Greek heroes were probably no better, so it was not so far off the mark--Flashman
kb9sog
That was an excellent parody. I sang it out loud for full effect. Very humorous. ------------------ BJ Simpson Visit www.arrl.org for information about Ham Radio. IN HOC SIGNO VINCES

Moriarty
Nice work. I was cooking up a blues parody to Sweet Home Chicago ... but, alas, IT is here and the blues be gone. ------------------ We are both men of action. TinMan
That was great, kudos to you!! I too sang along with it to get the full affect. Similarily, I was listening to Dire Straits "Money for Nothing" song this morning and starting adding my own words....I want my,...I want my CM-Deee(isc)!!! I will have to try to come up with a whole song.
patboivin
Hey! Panzershark is multi-talented, who would have guessed. Great job with the song, and you picked a good one to build upon. I have the blues too, still no CM. What are the odds of getting mail on Fridays? I would say about 30 percent... (sigh) My vacation is almost over, have to go back to work on Monday. Chris Jenkins
Hey, Panzershark! Great song. How about "Erwin Rommel" instead of "General Patton." Same syllables as the song. ------------------ "Rinky dinky stinky thinky"
PanzerShark
Chris, you are absolutely right about the name. To be honest i was looking for such name but couldn't think of one. Well it was late when i wrote the song so don't blame it on my knowledge Maybe i should create the souped-up version featuring Erwin. We can call it CM Rhapsody Remix. And maybe after that a Clubmix or something. Mmmm, i already smell lotsa money and a gold record here ------------------ PanzerShark proud creator of "Combat Mission Rhapsody" (see thread "Sing'a'Long")
Juju
Ouch, that was absolutely awesome. I'm gonna save that song to a file somewhere. Also, try singing it along with the "Bad News" version (the 'young ones' and Brian May) for, ahem, extra effect. You're even worse than I am. Trooper
Not quite the same vein, but it has become a tradition in my gaming group that if ever we were playing a miniatures game involving armor (Either historical, or a Warhammer 40K game using Imperial Guard) that we would sing out the Panzerlied at full bawl before the first turn... It's not that insane... look at the singing of 'take me out to the ball game' in a basball match... NTM
