Banshee
I believe 20 38 (t) Hetzers were made into Flame tanks for the Battle of the Bulge. ------------------ Veni, vidi, panzerschrecki

M Hofbauer
"quick question.which german tank spews fire" any that you hit and manage to brew up. german tanks that spew fire by default were the Pz II(F) "Flamingo", Pz III (Flamm), StuG III (Flamm), Flammhetzer, Flammtiger. what you are looking for is the Flammhetzer, available in CM from Dec44 and only to the Wehrmacht, category "armor". actually historically they weren't really used "in" the bulge but at a side show in the alsace, methinks. Banshee
It makes sense that they were only available from Dec, '44 . I remember reading in one of my books about the Flammhetzer saying that many were captured and photographed giving them much more importance than they actually had. ------------------ Veni, vidi, panzerschrecki [This message has been edited by Banshee (edited 08-30-2000).]
Stefan Fredriksson
OK, but how do you use them?!? I'm playing Elsdorf as the Germans, and I have one cleverly placed in the middle of the village. In storms the Americans. "Easy enough" I chuckle to myself, "I just set fire to the buildings they're in". I bring forward the flame-hetzer within range of a building, target said building... The bugger sits there for 40 seconds doing *nothing*, after that time it takes some incoming smallarms-fire, and retreats with the speed of light. What bothers me is that I could target the building, and it was within range. Any ideas?
Chupacabra
All of 'em spew fire if you hit them with a big enough gun... ------------------ Soy super bien, soy super super bien, soy bien bien super bien bien bien super super.
Stefan Fredriksson
A Plastic Bertrand fan? I sat humming the words and it could very well be "Ca plein pour moi", is it??
Trooper
Well, it did sizzle a couple of my men a couple of turns later... Still, given the snowy terrain, they probably appreciate the warmth of a burning house... NTM
