There was one that took place during the Medieval times and had all these guys in armor running around playing football! It was great! spider Posted May 14, 2000 Author Share Posted May 14, 2000 hehe, its worth the fight i suppose..... the worst ad at the moment has to be the whole "BUT WAIT, THERES MORE!!" series pens ,drill bits and kitchen knives are all being sold in ads that are exactly the same, they just change a few words and the pictures, oh yeah, laptop junior, the worst ad on tv, all those ads were american and read out by the same fool, 30 day warranty (allow 28 days for delivery) damn i hate that guy, whos gonna buy that stuff? I was looking to tune in one morning to the (god help them) tape delayed broadcast of a Grand Prix on Fox Sports, and I ran into a full half-hour advert for a set of golf clubs. I couldn't believe it. They had changed the start time of the broadcast by a half hour to fit in these golf clubs. I was most irked... And there are so bloody many adverts. Yes, I do remember the Carlsberg ad. As for dire songs, have you heard what Britney Spears has done to 'Satisfaction'? She's murdered it... The best add that I have ever seen was the Tango advert (my fellow Brits should remember this), where a marketing man from tango challenged the world to a scrap, it was about a minute long; by the end it had harrier jump jets etc.. of the White Cliffs of Dover; f**king funny if ask me. I even planned an entire vacation in London around going to Stamford Bridge! A guy here at work turned me on to soccer (what it's known as here) during the World Cup and I have been hooked ever since. Any sport where spinning kicks to a players face are common place and avoiding debris hurled by the fans is an important scoring factor is COOL in my book! I can actually watch a match with a Nil-Nil result and be totally satisifed that it was an exciting game! When I attempt to watch Major League Soccer here in the states, I just get disgusted... Premier League all the way! CHELSEA! Bundesleague is cool too... Madmatt Yes I am an American...I just play an alien on the internet... I am heading to a little local Irish pub with a satalite that telvises all the games! Yes, I actually DO follow the Euro 2k and Europeans Cup games as well..Hell, I even watched an awsome Division 3 (I think) Brazilian league game while I was on vacation and there was more action in the stands ( I went to a riot and a football game broke out ) than on the pitch.
