slazzari
I'll keep this one short Event ID 4097 seems to be a generic error message when a program does something the OS doesnt like. Most likely, you have a program that is resident in memory, that CM wants to write to, or some strange driver conflict. Wish I could be of more help. I would suggest unloading all programs before running CM (make sure the system tray is empty, too), and see if that helps.
Ralph D
Hi, First of sorry to all (BTS too!) for that last post with the error msg. I visited the ASUS site and I think I've found out what's going on, and it's nothing to do with CM except that it's using D3D. I have an ASUS K7M mobo, and they've recently provided an AGP filter for Win2k to avoid these exact errors. It seems there was a memory leak and the patch fixes it. So far, everthing seems to be OK now. Thanks for your help. Regards, Ralph D.
