Luftwaffe is still the Luftwaffe, btw. ------------------ Ethan ----------- Das also war des Pudels Kern! -- Goethe
Jarmo
So waffelmen, gerbilhunters and others were just subcategories of one big wehrmacht. Really? There really were no wehrmacht vs SS conflicts? Only heer vs SS.
Fred
Sure, but we did not talked about branches. Bundeswehr is all armed forces, but the branches (Luftwaffe, Heer, Marine) are still there...but what was the question? Fred
The Wehrmacht included all military forces of germany. The Heer was the land forces. Because of this, the OKW (Oberkommando der Wehrmacht) was superior to the OKH (Oberkommando des Heeres). At least, until Hitler made himself leader of the OKH. At this moment, however, I'd like to know if "bundeswehr" is just the modern name for "wehrmacht"?
