von shrad
While playing CE I noticed that a 'faust team suffered a casulty and the ammo was depleted from 5 to 2. Could it be the loss of that troop caused the shortage?
Moon
Yes, as teams lose members, the available ammo is reduced. Same is true for squads I believe.
citizen
Oh, you better believe it. Most of the people in the "heavy" weapons teams are ammo carriers. MG and Mortar teams will also lose ammo when teammates drop. By the way, I think you meant it was a Panzerschreck team. citizen
Guest Big Time Software
Absolutely that was what happened. Squads don't lose ammo with casualties though. The ammo count basically represents the number of shots each man has. When a squad fires it is assumed that each man is taking a shot, except when distances prevent the weapon from being effective (i.e. 400m for an MP40 is a no go). In the latter cases partial ammo points are used. Steve
