Guest Turret
Knights Cross with Golden Oakleaves, Swords and Diamonds was intended to be awarded just 12 times after the Axis victory in WW2. It was to recognize the individuals that exhibited the highest levels of combat bravery. I suppose someone just could not wait for the victory and decided it should be awarded anyway. Who got the one medal that was actually awarded?
Croda
Hans Von Gruden for singlehandedly destroying a company of U.S. infantry with nothing but a gerbil.
PawBroon
It was Herr Oberst Hans-Ulrich Rudel, the famed tank busting Stuka ace. How many cool points for that? [This message has been edited by PawBroon (edited 09-13-2000).]
Guest Turret
Captain Vie! We miss you in the campaigns. It is all German now as I have lost about 10 players. You are correct! I happen to have the remaining eleven unawarded medals in their cases with unopened sealed documents as to who they were to be awarded to. I'll send them to you as soon as I can. Kidding of course. You get 67 cool points and a Gerbil cage with oakleaves. Rudel destroyed 530 tanks and 12 aircraft. He was shot down 30 times!
