Buckeye
Well, many of us are reading about combat tactics while we wait for the release of CM--and aren't playing the Gold Demo . I wanted to recommend a recent book that describes the bigger picture of WWII. It's entitled "A War to be Won: Fighting the Second World War," by Williamson Murray and Allan Millett. The second author is Professor of Military History at The Ohio State University (Go Bucks!), and is cited by Doubler as a major inspiration in his introduction to "Closing with the Enemy" (another highly recommended book). Gives the bigger stratgeic picture. Could be the best 1-volume history of the war.
windstarz
I just saw the two authors on Cspan and it was very interesting. I will have to read the book.
RobVarak
Picked it up last week, but I haven't read it yet. I'd better get moving, as my free time will be spoken for very soon ! ------------------ Rob Varak Editor Site on Sound: The Web's Premier Site For Musical Discussion www.siteonsound.com
