Amedeo
I noticed that most Soviet tanks of the T-64/72/80 series, while generally impervious to the M728 and M735 in when hit on the "superstructure hull front", are more easily penetrated when struck on the "upper front hull". I presume that in this case the "upper front hull" represents the weakened zone around the driver's hatch while the "superstructure hull front" the rest of the front glacis. Nice detail! I wonder whether there's a list somewhere detailing the correspondence of the various hit location to the actual different places on a given tank. Of course, I'm not asking for the generic nomenclature (it's now more than 40 years that I'm interested in tanks and I know what "turret", "hull", "glacis" mean ), I'm asking for a type specific correspondence table. For example, what constitutes a "front turret" hit on an Abrams, considering that there are also "left front turret" and "right front turret" hit locations?
MG TOW
I thought I noticed some minor track damage after a superstructure front hull hit. Otherwise those T64/72/80 are rather tanky. Edited May 1, 2021 by Pilaf
