OT Books on the Philipines

Recommended Posts

I was wondering if anyone knows of any books about the Philipine Campaign of 1941/1942? This is one subject that seems not to be covered very well in historical literiture and I have long been interested in this part of American military history. John Toland's "But Not in Shame" is the only work I have found that covers this event, besides the various biographies of Douglas MacArthur. There was a lot of combat leading up to the fall of Bataan and Corregidor and it is a shame not more has been written about it. The men who fought for this country in the Philipines early in the war should be honored for their sacrifice.
