Panther, change your screen resolution to the desired setting, delete the Combat Mission Bynd Ovr Pref's file, reinitialize CM and it should then add the current desktop resolution to the options that it asks for you to choose from. CM defaults to the current desktop resolution.

Panther44 - Was your previous video card built-in to the motherboard or was it a separate video card that you have removed ? If your video card was built in, then you may need to check your documentation on how to disable it. This will quite often either involve a jumper on the motherboard, a change in the CMOS/BIOS setup or it may autodetect your new video card (in which case you don't need to do anything specific).

You may need to check that your previous video card drivers are fully uninstalled (check the Control Panel > Add/Remove Programs control panel > look through the list for anything mentioning your previous video card). There are other things you can do to completely remove your previous video drivers, but we'll skip them for the moment.

Reinstall DirectX 7.0a again.

DirectX 7.0a:

After this reinstall you Voodoo3 drivers. Here is the latest version (though you may want to try your CD first):

Voodoo 3 v. 1.05.02 BETA:

http://www.3dfxgamers.com/drivers/voodoo3/voodoo3_win9x_beta.stm

This site has some overclocking and tweaking utilities for the Voodoo3:

Reactorcritical (go to Vooodoo 3 part of the page - utilities are at the bottom of that section):

Some people have had problems with "white outs" of the textures after playing for awhile. This usually happens with the AGP card and with resolutions over 1024 x 768. I'm not sure if this happens with the PCI version of the card (though one user claimed it did and other didn't have the problem).

In the future, if you have technical problems with CM you may want to post in the Tech Support forum (where you may find that your problems have already been asked and solved).
