John Kettler
My brother-in-law, Mike, a retired USAF LT COL and former C-130 driver, sent me this wonderful grog tidbit. Somehow, the lead C-47, That's All, Brother, the first plane over Normandy of the entire D-Day Allied air effort, has been found, its ID confirmed and won't be scrapped or re-engined. To buy this truly historic plane the Commemorative Air Force is running a very successful Kickstarter campaign which looks as though it's going to exceed its goal. http://www.aopa.org/News-and-Video/All-News/2015/June/05/D-Day-lead-aircraft-found?WT.mc_id=150612epilot&WT.mc_sect=tts Regards, John Kettler Edited June 23, 2015 by John Kettler
