Brusser
I note you have not included any Italian machines in your game plans. How about a 14/41 and 14/52? Also maybe a Sem 75 in 3 different barrel lengths.
Boris Balaban
They may consider them if they later add a North Africa Campaign. I would like to see it done for I would like to see the British fight the Germans/Italians.
Guest Big Time Software
Combat Mission is strictly 1944-45 Western Front. Therefore the Italians, Soviets, Greeks, etc. are not included. Future versions will cover other areas of the war. Steve
Brusser
In reply, it is historically appropriate to include Italian weapons for 1944-45 time period as the Germans used Italian armor and aircraft on the Weatern Front during those years, even well after Italy fell. Guest Big Time Software
We would be interested to hear about Italian tanks used on the Western Front. We probably have about 50 armor books, and a couple hundred other Western Front related ones, yet we have never seen one mention of Italian armor used in this area. If you have a source we will check it out. Certainly such vehicles were used by the Germans in the Italian and Mediterranean areas (Yugoslavia and Greece for example) during this time frame. But as stated, this is not in CM's scope. Also keep in mind that the numbers would be negligible even if theoretically present. We aren't including vehicles that had no impact on combat and/or have no record of being used in combat. For example, the Germans used many models of French tanks, but only a few models saw combat and their numbers were quite small. Steve
