Flamethrower effect modable?

Not easily. It is a 'GLSL textureless classic 3D noise'. Therefore there is not an image based texture but a noise map.

Why they did this rather than use something along the lines of a consistently forward facing sprite (along the lines of the tank muzzle flash) I don't know. I'm sure they had their reasons.

Current effect is a tad jarring to my eyes.
