General_solomon
I am going nuts with this damn software, it keeps trying to erase my cmsf.exe. It has already deleted my other modules. I have added all the exe's to the exception list along with the folders. Do need to get another anti-virus software. I do not have to keep remembering to restore. Please advise on how I can fix this if possible. thanks, Gen. Solomon

Saint19
I had the same issue. I had to go into the Resident Shield under advanced and place exceptions there as well. I only did the exceptions for the exe file and it works. So I have exceptions in two places: 1. Potentially Unwanted Programs 2. Resident Shield Then it worked.
General_solomon
I have given up after reload the games three times. Avast has not issues. it should not be this difficult to tell a damn anti-virus to leave a file alone.
Saint19
Roger that. Seeing as I still have 6 months left on the current AVG subscription, I didn't' want to change. But would have if that didn't work.
__Yossarian0815[jby]
You have to add the cmsf exe files to the exception list, which is a little bit difficult to find. it´s in the options.

I just got tired of reloading the software.
agusto
I just got tired of reloading the software. In fact you dont need to completely reload it. Just install the latest patch (1.21b IIRC) that adds a new .exe file and then patch your game up to the latest version (1.32). Alternatively you could keep a safety copy of the all the .exe files in an encrypted archive so AVG cant see them. Both are not ideal solutions, but still better than reloading the game every time AVG deletes the .exes. You could also just get a different anti-virus software. I recommend you Kaspersky, i had used this one for many years before i started to use cheaper AVG.
