Sergei
If you have been following the news lately, the fighting in Syria has been escalating as the rebels are trying to oust Bashar al-Assad, desperately clinging to Damascus. You have all been there virtually, you know that the combat zone is no place for children. As of now there are over 400,000 registered Syrian refugees taking shelter in the surrounding countries; in addition to this there are estimated 90,000 refugees in Jordan and Lebanon awaiting registration. What's particularly worrying is that the number has doubled in the last few months, and by the looks of it it will continue to grow as the winter comes and fighting continues. These people have lost everything and need food, shelter and medical services to survive through the coming months. Please send donations to UNHCR/your preferred refugee aid agency and have a peaceful* Christmas y'all! *not including simulated warfare, of course
