John Kettler
Am posting this here to give the information broad exposure, not just for the CMx2 games. This is almost half an hour long official War Department film on U.S. infantry weapons and their effects--as of 1943. Covers from M1911 .45 ACP-Cannon Company's baby 105mm howitzers, and everything in between, both direct and indirect. I believe this'll be especially valuable to those coming from non WW II games, but should prove informative even to the grogs. I got quite an education in weapon effects from watching this, to include what even a 37mm can do to pillboxes. There are some weapon demonstrations which will show how what looks like cover may not be, the potency of shaped charge munitions against targets not AFVs, even the demolition of a log crib/roadblock by direct 105mm fire! I was really surprised by how fast a gun, even a 57mm or 105mm, can be brought into action. Regards, John Kettler
