Well I found a thread that explained how to 'swap' units, but I can't find any threads that explain how to use the undo move function. Playing against the AI with 1.05 patch.

As long as it is enabled in the options screen you can undo any move which has not been "finalized" by clicking on the undo button in the upper right hand corner of the screen. Moves are finalized when you either:

1 click on another unit/map location

2 right click on the unit you just moved or in another location

3 encounter a previously hidden unit while using fog of war.

b6583, the answer is pretty easy.

First, be sure that you have enabled the "undo" option when you start the game.

Here you can see the "undo" option DISabled

and it looks like this when you have enabled the "undo" option:

If you started the game with "undo" enabled you can move your unit (while you haven't moved the "undo" button is not displayed on the right side of the screen)

but once you have moved your unit the "undo" button will appear on the right side of the screen (simply click on it to undo your move)

Important restriction:

if your movedhad lifted the fog of war anywhere on the map (like if you have had discovered a once hidden unit or new and before your move unknown unit inormations like experience, strength etc.), you won't be able to undo your move anymore.

This prevents human players to do multiple recon moves with one and the same unit within a single game turn (move left, undo, move right, undo, move up, undo, ... you get the picture).
