QB blind force selection

If you create a random QB, you don’t find out what type of battle you will be fighting until after you have made your choice of which forces you will use. I can see this might be realistic if you are the defender, you have to make do with what is available, but surely an attacker would try to plan for the best mix. This would be different if you plan an assault against a town vs a probe in heavy woods.
