  1. Indeed. Basically, modding CC from 1939 to 1944 in Europe and North Africa, and Korean War as well, doesn't involve any game mechanics modification, so basically it's a matter of adding new stuff: maps, vehicles, guns, TOEs... and of course properly tested scenarios and campaigns! Biggest amount of work is probably adding graphics stuff (uniforms, vehicles, guns, etc.), isn't it?
  2. Well, it looks like the modern era titles are getting far more popular than WW2 ones. A matter of gamers' age, I would bet. Anyway, playing a WW2 tactical game without Stalingrad, Kursk and Afrika Korps timeframes covered? Come one folks! (I enlist myself in the vocal minority wanting early war WW2: can't wait to run Hotchkiss tanks to fight Panzer II and have the Finns defend against monster SMK !)
  3. And what about the XO team from US OOB? Is it considered as a HQ?
  4. Hello gentlemen, Here's a newbie question. I have well understood the importance of low level (i.e. platoon) HQ in terms of chain of command and command bonus. What is not clear to me is the effect of the higher level HQ (company, most notably). The role in the chain of command is clear, but does it has some other effects like the platoon HQ does? Hence what is their optimal position with respect to the frontline? I am also wondering the effects go the mortars HQ when those mortars are used in indirect fire mode. Thanks in advance for your enlightening answers! PEB
  5. Thank you gentlemen for this clarification.
  6. Sorry if this question has been asked a thousand times by newcomers.... It is not clear to me wether buying a second title of the BattleFront series requires a new download or just an activation key. In other words, if you own CMFI, do you need any dowload if you buy, say, CMBN? Thanks in advance for the clarification! PEB
  7. Well, are you suggesting that you never played it yourself? More seriously, you can very well fail to notice the missing bunker as it is as away as possible from any action… What somewhat surprised me is that the manuals specifically mentions three bunkers when only two seems to be on map… By the way, good luck with the first scenario: as a true beginner I never achieved in 3 or 4 attempts to achieved the losses objectives. These Italians are supposed to be weak but they anyway managed to cripple at least one of my (much too) light tanks and to efficiently suppress my fire base on Overwatch…
  8. Thank you, you are basically comforting the conclusions I have reached while trying to solve the issue on my own…
  9. Hello everybody, I'm brand new to the forum and to the game! I just purchased CMFI two weeks ago and I'm now going through the introduction campaign (painfully!). I found a bug in the second Gela Campaign scenario (Holding Hill 1056). One of the three bunkers that should be positioned along the trench is stuck in the NW corner of the map, with no chance to put it in proper position whatsoever. I'm surprised that nobody seems to have pointed this. I tried to edit the scenario, but apparently the campaign scenarios cannot be edited. Not a tremendous bug, but if anybody has a way to solve it I'm taking the hint! Thanks ! PEB
