  1. Remember this event? We now have official confirmations that Patriot missiles were indeed used inside Russia by Ukraine. A lot of people suspected it, now we have official confirmation.
  2. With all the evil deeds committed by Putin that we talk about here, it is important to mention good deeds as well. A Singaporean couple built 500 homes on the Ukrainian frontlines as the war raged around them. Here's how they did it. (businessinsider.com)
  3. In all seriousness I really wish Ukrainians would not need to use these kinds of improvised fighting vehicles after this war has been going on for almost two years now. I just thought a BMW firing rockets was kind of interesting. Don't remember ever seeing anything like that before in real life. But I agree, this does not look terribly effective.
  4. Last time I saw this many rockets mounted on a BMW was when I watched The World Is Not Enough
  5. Looks like the Russian propaganda campaign that equates all Ukrainians resisting Russia as Nazis is still working. I still hope that Ukrainians treat Russian POWs as per the Geneva Conventions, but personally I would not mind if the perpetrates of this act just be eliminated on the battlefield by the AFU with all the laws of war satisfied. As a cinema buff I even suspect I know where the Russian torturers got this idea from, but I really don't feel like making any pop culture references after seeing something like this.
  6. Looking good, but wish the number could be higher than 31. Still any image of an Abrams tank in the service of the AFU is pleasant.
  7. @LongLeftFlank's love for old school hits is infectious.
  8. Was listening to this while working out. Don't have to tell anyone here that the Slavic god of lighting and thunder as always has a presentation on the war, that is worth hearing.
  9. Video of the improvised fighting vehicle you posted in action. Every damn terror drones taken out can mean a life saved.
  10. General Waldemar Skrzypczak? I seem to recall you did not agree with his views on Belarus when I posted those here. But yes good to have a local perspective here from someone who knows characters from your country better than us foreigners.
  11. I'm curious what President Zelenskyy means by this comment. Does he mean the Ukrainian Navy will get more ships in the near future? I am aware that the Royal Navy has trained Ukrainian sailors on operating British made minesweepers. Royal Navy training Ukraine sailors as part of UK's support to country (Royal Navy.Mod.UK) It does take a while to train a crew of a ship properly. Anyhow here is a clip from the meeting where the statements were was made.
  12. Since we are having a kind of retrospective of the year, I think it should be remembered and not forgotten that at sea Ukraine did pretty damn well this year. Especially for a country that like you already pointed out does not really have a navy in the traditional sense of what we think of as a navy. It was very interesting to watch this year. Speaking of which, here is a new video of a Ukrainian drone hitting Putin's prized bridge this summer.
  13. Regarding this whole trucker blockade I'm disappointment by it, but I'm an outsider looking in. Would anyone from Europe be able to verify what Jürgen Nauditt says? (I have only found his Twitter account today)
  14. One less T-80. Relevantly old video but intense. Skip to 0:16 if you just want the action right away.
  15. Cool, nice to see the crew of this Bradley in good spirits. I hope more of these bad boys can be sent over to the AFU. Ukrainians really seem to like them. Aussie Bushmaster also in the snow. And a D-20. Edit: Looks like the SBU eliminated another collaborator.
  16. Hey politics day. Well for my two cents. According to the oh so helpful political campus and my lifelong voting record I'm a conservative. No way around it the truth is more than enough people with right wing views seem to have accepted the idea that Putin is not so bad, or Ukraine is not our problem. I think a lot of them think this way because they believe that our society is deteriorating, and Russia represents true traditional Christian values or whatever. Thing is Russia is basically just a mafia state. Some just don't like how much this war costs. Well, that being said some folks on the left read "tankies" also give Russia a pass, because they still like Russia as it is a successor to the Soviet Union and they still think the Soviet Union is a force for good...Lets ask some of our friends from central and eastern Europe about that. Anyway, I think the North American conservative movement needs more guys like Mitt Romney and Steven Harper as far as their understanding of the threat that Putin presents. As far as Russia goes, I think both of those guys would feel right at home on this forum. What I always loved about this place is we have liberals and conservatives uniting to oppose an unjust war of aggression by a nation ruled by a man that we know is not our friend. Alright now that I said that I will go back to posting cool videos from Twitter.
  17. Watch until the end. But seriously nice to see that bad weather obviously also impairs the bad guys in their own country, not just the good guys defending their country.
  18. US Arms Makers Dominate Top Expo As Russia Fails To Sell (Newsweek) LOL...That is all.
  19. More heavy metal for the AFU courtesy of Bulgaria and Germany.
  20. More sniper related videos. Always interesting to see, as I remember it was posted here that next to artillery snipers are the leading cause of KIAs in this war.
  21. President Zelenskyy thanks Finland for its support.
  22. The weather gives this video a very cinematic look. Of course it is always a treat to see Leos painted in AFU colors. Kinda interesting how now we see all these videos of western tanks in the service of the AFU and don't even think twice about it. Not that long we were worried about sending any kind of western made tanks to Ukraine.
