  1. Won't hide my being a dedicated fan of CTGW, however recently bought the SCWWI bundle and have been very satisfied with it, especially with Breakthrough. Maybe it's me (a newbee), that this game's interface is harder to manage than CTGW's. One of the reasons I moved over to this game was the lack of Technical Support at CTGW, plus the Daddy of the game skipped town without telling all the buyers the game's programing future is "Dead". My only hope here is: That the Dev's here keep the faith and work with the membership in supporting the game. Have not read all of the posts yet here, keeping an eye out for "Hot fixes", future "patches", "expansions" or "General Fixes" that maybe incorporated into the game presently or later on.

  2. Another thing I would have to agree on with Furchtlosundtrew: Is the stingy MMP for Germany at the beginning of the game? Soooo much to do, with so few points! Even Russia had a (approx.) hundred more points or less than Germany.

    <Edit>

    Sorry! I was wrong about the Russian MMP, it appears the Russians might of had gotten less MMP than the Germans at the opening turns. I don't see an edit feature for comments here.

  3. Hello Gents!

    New to the game and Found this thread extremely interesting especially about Russian entrenchment.  I'm about to embark on my first Grand campaign (SP) in the hope of gaining enough experience to participate in MP matches.  I am  a veteran CTGW MP player, but have not seen nothing there on the scale of what SCWWI has to offer, especially on the diplomatic front, although I can say there are some other game similarities.  One of the issues early on in CTGW was "entrenchment", especially in the east, where it should have been a more fluid campaign than a static one.  One of the solutions patched in:  Was to reduce the effectiveness of entrenchment or at the very least drawing out the time for  entrenchment techs to take effect.  Yes, I have found in some of the lessor scenarios here that once entrenchment levels get up there, that a hex or rather a tile in this game is harder to overrun with out combined arms attacks, mainly with artillery and recon bombers.  With an area that Russia encompasses, it would seem a very slow go for CP.    Again I am a newbie here..

    Made the mistake of installing Windows 10.

    Needless to say, having installed the game ages ago I've no idea what the activation key might be.

    Any help appreciated.

    The activation/serial key # is on the back of the Breakthrough disc case and on the back of SCWWI disc case, just found  out yesterday myself.  Or it might be at the bottom of your account when you hit the "account button".  Some examples in the Serial # thread below.

  5. Helpdesk pointed out to me the serial numbers are on the backside of the CD case for this game (I never noticed it), however many of their other games have the serial number printed on the disc label, or something like that..., plus I think the owners are going to implement a digital system of receiving your serial number.  At any rate, I'm up and running!  Now I have to figure out how this game works...

  6. Have you tried to login with your account under battlefront.com?

    When you access your account you can click on "view" to show your orders. (see picture 1)

    I hope this works.

    Have checked that screen a few times now:  There is a SKU #, but NO License key #, packing slip same thing.  It should be a # that is plain as day to see in my account when accessed through Battlefront.  Thanks, Bob

  7. First off:  Are screenshots produced by using Ctrl key and the p key?  Do screenshots go to desktop or a folder/file where a (where a screenshot can be  converted to jpg or jpeg) screenshot then can be sent to desktop?  From desktop can these jpeg screenshots be attached to a forum post, pm ect..?   I'm new here and waiting for UPS to deliver my copy of this game.  However, I have been a Matrix CTGW forum member for years, screenshots there can be converted to jpeg, placed on desktop, then attached to posts-PMs-emails-ect....   I was wondering if that can be done here also?  Or do I have to get a photo server?  (I'd rather not)  I'd like to keep it simple.
