How to Target Briefly then Move a deployed HMG?

I believe it's because it may take more than 30s to deploy the weapon. So put a longer target briefly time and equally longer pause at that waypoint. I'm not 100% sure but someone will hopefully chime in and correct me. I'm interested in the real answer as well.
