  1. We all do it. We all spend money on things we end up not liking. I'm a prime example. I have many games with just a few hours put into them. I tried, briefly, a foray into Company of Heroes 2. I wish I could have it back :/ Roughly a fourth of my game collection, which is excessively huge, was a waste of my money. I'm hoping to just settle down on war games from the point forth. They are expensive, but the content appears to be plentiful.
  2. That's pretty subjective. Plenty of people would say that board games sucks, whereas you're an enthusiast. Stating your opinion in such a way serves no purpose, but to show everyone else in the forum that you absolutely despise the game. You already did that in a previous post. Not sure of the point unless you intend to antagonize.
  3. My PC is great, I run CMSF at 60fps. The camera moves smoothly in stints. The main problem is that it stops randomly. CMRT camera is as smooth as smooth comes.
  4. Ah. I am disappointed. I really like shock force! That camera just drives me nuts.
  5. Is there a way to make the WSAD camera movement smooth in CMSF?
  6. What is this "buldge" module/family? Is there a place that I can read about it?
  7. And why? Would you say that Red Thunder is a great addition? Or are you slightly disappointed?
  8. Indeed! That may be worth a shot at some point. This was less about myself, and more about people and their opinions. I'm sincerely curious. Ageod's future WW1 game will probably hit my sweet spot.
  9. Yes, no board games for me. Thanks anyway.
  10. So far I am impressed. This is quite enjoyable and tense!! I can't imagine handling WW1 with a game like this. Impressive.
  11. Hey, thanks! I've heard good things about this series, I just haven't wanted to spend any money on something so off putting. (it looks extremely difficult and potentially non-fun). However, I once thought the same of combat mission.
  12. I can't find a demo. Is there one? I can't rightfully buy a game that I have NO IDEA about for $40.
  13. I love WW1. I understand it's grim realities and understand why it doesn't make for a great setting for video games. Now, with that said: Do you guys like any of the few WW1 games in existence? If so, name it! Also, I'd really like to know why!
  14. Can not wait to see more on HOI4!
  15. Thank you. If Motorized doesn't automatically come with vehicles, what's the difference between motorized and non? That's the real question for me.
  16. When I choose quick battle and choose "motorized" battalions, they don't come with vehicles. Do I need to specifically add vehicles?
  17. This is not a rhetorical questions. Hearts of Iron 3 is a great game, as far as I'm concerned. The interface is lovable and completely understandable. It's accessible, and yet difficult. Why do people seem to prefer overpriced operational games with counters? Is Hearts of Iron 3 completely unrealistic? Didn't seem that bad to me, at least with black ice mod.
  18. Wow. I absolutely can't win at this mission. While the enemy is firing MG-42s at me, my men have "reverse slope- no aim point". I think it's the tall grass. I feel like this is a WW1 map and I don't get trenches >:]. I like it. I'm not giving up.
  19. I play this game for several hours per day. My statement was purely hypothetical, but extremely unlikely. I simply don't like feeling tied to other players. I'll be trying my first PBEM starting to day, though.
  20. That's why I like normal scenarios. I roleplay and try to lose as few men as possible, but if you HAVE TO lose men/vehicles, you can. Campaign, you'd better be a master of efficiency  I'm feeling pretty confident anyways. I'm ready to start two PBEMs.
