  1. I cannot figure out why a sniper I have is not firing on a targeted unit (an open tank) that they can see. Any ideas?
  2. Is there a way to selectively use HE rounds in an AT gun? Mine seem to be using non HE all the time. Thanks, Fed
  3. I've dne some testing and sometimes they even throw the smoke in opposing directions... Seems to be almost random
  4. How about ammo? Do they scavenge before aiding the wounded, or after?
  5. So, if the soldier never used the shrek, they won't pick it up?
  6. That's what I've been doing. The problem is that the smoke ends up in the building that I am adjacent to, if I am positioned right beside a building.
  7. Is there a way to pick up and then use weapons from dead soldiers?
  8. I am finding that when I try to throw smoke while positioned beside a building, the smoke always ends up being thrown INTO the building. Does anyone else have this experience as well?
  9. I was wondering how many 88mm round it would take to take down a 3 story building. Any ideas?
  10. Now that you mention it, they were pinned. Thanks for that. Where is there Withdraw Button? I can't seem to find it.
  11. I don't understand why something happened in a game. A squad was in a building. It was shooting at an enemy. A tank approached, because it noticed I was in the building. It did not shoot as of yet. I felt that the tank would pound my position, so I issued an order to have the squad run out of the building. Just in case, I limited the target arc, so that they would not shoot anymore and just run. They did not follow the orders. In fact, they stopped shooting, and stayed in their position as the tank unleashed a volley of shots that killed all but one in the squad. Any idea what I did wrong? Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks, Fed
  12. Thanks a lot guys. I am trying Target Briefly and it seems to do the job quite well. I agreed, each situation requires an analysis, but in general, I am finding that my troops don't shot much if they don't have a Target command of some sort. Then, without suppression of the enemy from area fire, the enemy shoots and kills quite effectively. Target Briefly seems to keep their heads down, and reduce their ability to hit me. I am also finding Slow moving (one action square) quite effective in keeping from being spotted. Only, the troops get tired quickly. So, Target Briefly one turn, Slow move the next. Seems to be working.
  13. I was wondering what would be the best way to maintain a line of troops (lets call it a front). To keep it simple: A straight line at the front. Only infantry, and they defending, not attacking. They have machine guns, grenades, and bazookas. The enemy is within range, but largely unseen, and is only infantry. Which it better: 1) Have them stay there with no orders. 2) Issue Hide commands (to see the enemy, remain unseen, and limit the return fire - to remain hidden). 3) Have scouts in front that have the Hide order, and have the line behind them 10-40 ft with one of 4) - 5) below. 4) Issue overlapping Fields of Fire. (with or without Hidden scouts) 5) Issue area target along the front to suppress the enemy. (with or without Hidden scouts) If there are any other suggestions that I have missed, please let me know. Any opinions are welcome. Thanks, Fed
  14. I am trying to find out what issuing the Hide Command does. Will the troops still see enemies in range? Will the troops fire back when the enemy is seen? Will they be spotted less often? I have looked around and tried some testing, but I don't see much difference. Thank for our help, Fed
  15. I was wondering what the differences in experience, motivation, fitness, and leadership are in choosing troops for QB. The difference in price can substantially add up, and can even double the price of units. Is it worth it? What do they do? I now what the manual states, but I am wondering about people's experiences. Thanks, Fed
  16. If you do not satisfy the victory conditions at time zero, but then satisfy them in overtime, who wins? As far as I am concerned, if you do not meet the victory conditions at time zero, you should not win. Overtime could be to see "what if I had more time".
  17. How can you tell whether a scenario has extra time, and how much it is. I cannot find it in the briefing. Maybe I am missing something...
  18. I was wondering why a scenario I am playing H2H is going beyond the allocated time. The clock is counting up in red now. Thanks
