  1. Actually it most likely will... just not for around 8-10 months... Thats how they did it with GTA IV...

Pump it out on consoles first to get the big bucks (not only is piracy lower on consoles, but a console game is almost 2x the price and thus 2x the profit) and then when the sales start to die down, you release it on PC.

Even red dead redemption is rumored to be coming to PC soon.

Hopefully both of those games come to PC. I have Red Dead for my PS3 but would rather play it on PC and i really don't want to buy GTA V for my console as i hardly play it.

  2. Hey kohlenklau, i recently remembered something before GL came out and that was there are multiple tags and one of them is a whitewash tag which is supported but they didn't make any whitewashed vehicle skins.

And I always love to show off Marco Bergman's superb work on the Shermans.

One of the neat new things coming with Gustav Line is artwork tags that are added to the end of file names. These tags allow the vehicle (and terrain) textures to change based on the date and the weather.

    Currently, we support these tags:

[muddy] In wet and muddy weather, vehicles will use this tag. So in wet weather vehicles will appear muddy, in dry weather they won't.

[whitewash] Pretty self-explanatory. We aren't actually making any whitewash artwork for Gustav Line, but the capability is set up to support it.

[olive] In April 44 the Commonwealth vehicles switch from the tan and mud camo pattern to the straight olive green. So starting April 44, all Commonwealth vehicles draw from the [olive] texture instead of the default. Of course, if there isn't an [olive] texture present, they will just use the default.

[mainland] This is for US vehicles and starts in September 43. They switch from the bright green camo to the OD and black camo.

And you can combine the tags! So, for example, [mainland] and [muddy].

Maybe you can get mjkerner to make some whitewashed camos, he would just LOVE that.

  3. I just placed my preorder...

After my recent experience with a big name development house that recently release a over-hyped piece of junk I'm more and more appreciative of a small independent developer like this.

I won't name the piece of junk I recently paid too much for. Unlike BF who gives you a $10 discount for pre-ordering, I had the privilege of paying full price, after all it was so well hyped as the greatest thing since sliced white bread it would be a privilege to pay a bloated price to have the game when released.

This "shall not be named" game was designed to be accessible to a larger audience. Combat Mission games is targeted to a more specialized audience. The "shall not be named" game has angered its core fans who through the years supported the franchise, The changes to appeal to the masses have watered down the game and reduced it to an arcade game. Many think it was designed with the intention of being ported to consoles.

This "shall not be named" game has more bugs than a roach motel. In all fairness the Combat Mission games has it share of idiosyncrasies that frustrates players, but I'm confident I won't see hordes of pixel troops just run in front of a town and then just stand there doing nothing while I mow them down. I have confidence BF cares enough and doesn't have the same pressures as the shall not be named company" to release something in a Beta state.

I hope Battlefront is taking note and remains a craftsman like company who makes products out of passion and dedication to quality, not just money.

Does this game happen to involve Romans? If it does then you are correct. One of the reasons i love Battlefront is that they care about the games they make and the people who buy them. I can't think of another company so dedicated to its customers and the product they make.

    Love you guise. <3

  4. Sorry for the confusion but yes I would like to play a game of CMBN and pick forces by using the Flames of War Normandy books. We shall play on a large map and both have 1 objective to take and 1 to defend.

What you do is you go to easyarmy.com (if you dont have an acount I'll give you my password). You then create a list from the Overlord book (3000 points). I shall then create your army in editor and we are good to go.

    Here is my OOB

    2x HQ team, 2x panzerschreck team, 3x SdKfz251/1
