They have most of their BTGs located along the border with ukraine. Like 80% of them. Support units from the far east. Almost the entire black sea fleet along with "costal defense units" (amphibious assault force) are now at sea minus two submarines that are under maintenance. Its pretty clear at this point that they will be invading. A country with the GDP the size of italy wont move forces like this as a play unless they actually mean to use them. As to why they are invading? I'd imagine they are taking advantage of the wests current state of foreign policies where in several years it could be a different situation, and lack of a stomach for a conventional conflict by western nations.
Just my 2 cents. Plus the build up over the spring was much smaller than the current forces aligned against Ukraine.

We would have ops be canceled for not enough lum but you're right when the lum is good you can see fairly easily.

If i was told i had to carry a AT-4, A CLU, along with my primary weapon system, full combat load with my buddy carrying 2 Jav tubes, his weapon system and a AT-4. I either wouldn't do it or id go down as a heat cat about 3 minutes later.

Hi all currently modding the syrian special forces and im attempting to make multiple uniform variants for them issue is there only seems to be one uniform file. Ive tried adding a "1" with a space at the end like other uniforms with variants hoping i could get a mixture but nothing. Just the black jump suits. Once i take away the "1" from the file name it shows up in game and replaces the black uniforms. Any suggestions?
UPDATE: Uniforms that already had multiple variants i was able to continue adding variants using a space and the next sequential number. Does not seem to be working with the syrian special forces uniforms though.

SOCOM also has a variant of the m32 called a mk 14 with a red dot optic. Pretty much the same thing as the M32A1.

Thanks brother. I've never gone anywhere just haven't been posting as much as i used to. Now with cmsf2 inbound i can have more of an input. Also been getting pictures of my AO and have considered making a map for the game based on the area.

As of right now we are still using ravens at the company level even then on my current deployment i haven't even seen the ODA teams use drones in that small of scale. All of our info on the ground is run by ISR. Plus carrying that stuff sucks....

Our intention is to make this as painless a process as we can for everybody, including us! No doubt there's going to be a few cases where some extra TLC is needed to get things going, however I suspect you won't have a problem. You most likely purchased the Retail Upgrade from us way back when. That was a $1 purchase that converted the Paradox license over to our system. If so, then there is an online record of your license key for you to enter when it comes time to Upgrade.
To give you guys some idea of how this works, CMSFI (and its Modules) need two keys to function. All original SF1 keys count as one, the Upgrade keys count as the second. New purchases get a license key that does double duty so only one key.

Just went through my email and I didn't find where I had bought the license upgrade (honestly I'm not sure if I did). I did find my key for the 3 pack module. I must have just never bought the upgrade so that doesn't really help.

Question about upgrades. I have the paradox version of the game (modules all bought from store so I have those and the keys) but I don't have the game installed currently nor the key for the SF base game and I'm in Afghanistan at the moment. How would I go about upgrading if I don't have the original SF key or game on me?

How many delays is it going to be. Ive been refreshing the page constantly waiting for Final blitzkrieg and the battle back to come out. COME ON GUYS PLEASE.

90% of the gear described in the video is soldier level equipment, in that it would make no difference of soldier effectiveness. Body armor, clothing, helmets, thermal/NVGs doesn't really need to be modeled as a new system in game. The only thing that could make a difference in game is their C2 systems and the laser designator.
Wrong. The Russians in game would greatly benefit getting the NVGs/Thermals as in game they only have night optics on their rifles which greatly reduces squad effectiveness at night.
When it actually sees combat, and can be proven as effective, then maybe we could see it in game. Until then, it is propaganda. The technology that they have shown in that video, or its described capabilities is seemingly over the top. Effective and small laser designators or range finders to each individual soldier is quite a claim. Some of the technology described has been available for some time, and been in experimentation with the US Army, and probably a few other governments.
How would any of that be propaganda? All of that equipment is extremely reasonable and definitely not out of Russias manufacturing capability. But let me ask do you have any evidence that Russia has not equipped some troops with this equipment?

Speaking of which, what has happened to our young cat molester? He disappeared around the beginning of summer, but I figured that he had gone away somewhere that was without a net connection or was busy working at a summer job. But I thought that with school now underway he'd be back home again.

Don't worry i'm still here. Summer was a very busy time for me with more working hours (grocery store ive been working at the past year 1 1/2), got a girlfriend and have been spending time with her, also working out/training/running. Just about everything really.
I have not had much time to post or keep up with forum matters but i do lurk and have several PBEMs running ATM. But things have slowed down much from what they were and will start posting more.
Good seeing that you were worried Micheal, much like my old man, well... you are old so there's that.
