Thank you, JonS and Wicky. Very useful map. I have a smaller version of that map in a book about the battle for the Markkanaal.
I am quite familiar with the area beacause it is close to the city where I grew up. I did a lot of guessing of how it used to look in 1944. Especially the area around the bridge. There used to be a large dock for loading and unloading ships, and less vegetation. Ín the 70's the canal was broadened.
And the area west of Den hout used to be a lot swampier then it is now.

1944 map of Den Hout:

I can't open the file? Where did you find the map?

Large map of the area between the Markkanaal and Den Hout. Map size 3120 x 1760.
Den hout was liberated by the Polish 1st armoured division in November 1944. The area was fought over during operation Pheasant. The area of Den Hout was defended by the german 711th Infantry division.
Market Garden is required to use this map!!!

Nice scenario, great atmosphere.
After a 50 minute fight, and suffering many casualties without capturing a single victory location. I came to the conclusion that I should spend less time in the editor and instead work on my tactical skills.
Really enjoyed this one, despite my humiliating defeat:D

Muddy stug.

Mapsize 640/ 448
Map could represent the "polder" landscape of west brabant. The area was fought over October/ November 1944.

Depending on the enemy's AI plan, this scenario should not be very hard to win.
The only factor could be time. But I found that the 45 min. to complete the mission were enough. The scenario plays at nightfall, light rain.
Also depending on the AI plan. This mission can have a slow start with not much action as you advance towards the town. I gave the AI a lot of freedom to place it units, for better replayability and to add a element of suprise even for me as scenario designer.
Finding a weak spot in the defence and the tension building up as you advance until first contact is what I like to achieve in this scenario.
Though careful approach is necessary, it is also important to keep moving forward and don't hesitate to long and have your units pinned.
For this scenario I used a slighty bigger map, than the original Fontaine-Raoul map I released earlier. Not only does it looks better. It also gives more options, to manoeuvre your units. I also adjusted elevations to better suit the scenario.

Fictional
Play as Allies vs AI only.
Axis side does have multiple AI plans.

It's the right map. But wrong setup zones and terrain objectives.

The sails on de wind vanes can be rolled up, to lower the speed of the mill rotating. And If I translate correctly. They use a stick to remove the brakes on the upperwheel and the mill can start rotating. The manually aim the mill in the right direction by spinning a huge wheel.
