  1. Phase line green was a terrible artillery fest' , Also when i play Shockforce my men are ofen being hit by friendlies rounds... just like this: (1h18mn55sec)

Yeah, that friendly fire was just cringe-inducing. But very impressive. I recall holding my tongue (typing fingers) from expressing caution at the time, because it is surprising how often Chris' aggressive moves pay off. Not that time, though.

  2. Yes, Chris's videos are super-cool. The last one I watch something unexpected (and horrific) happened onscreen and he finally let out an expletive. His ability up til then to NOT swear at the computer while playing seemed almost inhuman.  :D

I was watching that live on Twitch. It was indeed the exception, Chris is usually so polite.

  3. You are using CMH; are you also using DropBox to swap files? If so, you can check who you are sharing the dropbox with ... or at least, their email address anyway. Would that ring any bells for you? You could email them ...  :)

Thanks Phil, that gave me an address to e-mail.

  4. Okay, this is embarrassing. I'm currently playing a PBEM game of The Passage, and CMH has wiped the chat log, so I'm not sure if my opponent is receiving my chats. I'm also not quite sure who I'm playing, and if I gained the opponent here, or at FGM. So if anything of this sounds familiar please message me here, or e-mail me.

Oh, and if anyone is looking for a game of CMRT, or any other CM games (minus the CMBN vehicle pack), feel free to message me.

  5. There are two scenarios shipped with the Gustav Line Module: "Lost"- about the Hasty P's and "Winter of our discontent"- a battle around the Moro river outside of Ortona. These are the only Canadian scenarios I know about.

There is also a campaign in the respository called "Welcome to Sicily" where you command a mixed force of British and Canadians.

For the NZ forces there is one called "Kiwi Soldiers".

    Many thanks.

  6. Thank you all for your responses. Ithikial, I enjoy your Youtube videos, and I have a sister-in-law in Perth.

I appreciate the book references, but just for clarification, does anyone have a list of Canadian scenarios? Or a database of all scenarios that I can pore through?

  7. It is with shame I admit that as a Canadian I have very little knowledge of the Italian Campaign. I am rectifying that with a read of Rick Atkinson's Day of Battle. I will also shamefully admit to sloth, as I have not dug through the scenarios available that involve Canadians. Can anyone point out CMFI scenarios involving Canadians? I'm especially interested in those around Ortona, and I recall ChrisND in a Twitch broadcast mentioning someone working on a Monte Cassino one.

Edit: As I am married to a Kiwi, a similar list of NZ scenarios?

  8. And just to clarify, I assume the red-base guy isn't actually moving and fighting, right? He's just dead in a standing pose?

I've never seen standing, but I've seen dead guys at 45 degree angles a few times.

Nope, he's not moving and fighting. Like that famous Capra photo of the Spanish Civil War, he bit the dust just as the turn ended and was frozen in time.
