The markings are for the 7th Armoured Brigade. I'm no expert either so I just looked at a few pics on the Internet. Lol.

Glad it works. Yeah, CMSF does have a knack of mirroring current events.
You could combine this mod and my irregulars mod, previously uploaded, to craft some QBs for Mali. It uses some Taliban and Mord's Combatants to provide a mix. Just choose irregulars in set up. As you say this could work with African terrain and other mods in the repository.

And some French forces with new sounds for the Nato module (replaces the Canadians).

I've included some slightly modded carriers - Spartan etc. Just a couple of tweaks. Hopefully other modders might build on this.

British Infantry - Royal Marines v1.0
This download contains a 7zip of amended desert uniforms, infantry helmets and face skins for the British soldier model.
The mod seeks to represent the Royal Marines Commando Brigade. This mod is based on original mods by Theo, Angryson, Ryujin and ezjax. Much credit to them for producing the original mods. If anybody objects to the use of any of these textures please let me know and I can withdraw the mod.
WARNING: This mod alters the appearance of British infantry. It should not be used in conjunction with other British uniform mods.
FIRST STEPS
You'll need
. 7zip to unzip them to your desk top (free D/L - http://www.7-zip.org/).
. The Commonwealth Module for CM:Shock Force
INSTALLATION
1. Download the 7zip file
2. Unzip the 'Royal Marines Desert' folder to your desktop.
3. Drop the the Royal Marines folder into your Z folder (in your data directory of Shock Force) as a seperate file.
NOTES
Have included some rag-tagging: uniforms, vests and helmets also.

A few tweaks to add more variety.

The muj rag tag mod already exists for CMA. I borrowed it from the repository for this mod.:cool:
I'll make sure the new faces can be ported back too.
For SF I've replaced the Syrian unconventional forces so the new models can show up.

Ok. Sounds promising. I'll keep poking around to see what can be done. May just be a few replacements here and there. If anyone from BF objects then I'll stop.

These pics merely show a test mod where I replaced Brits with Muj. To see if I could do it. Ultimately the aim would be to replace some of the 3d models for the 'red' forces.:cool:
However, all will depend on whether this is allowed by BF.

Appreciate that I've come a bit a late to the CMSF party. I'm really enjoying all of the Shock Force content and am playing it more than CMBN at the moment.
Muj models are available in the CMA demo. I just wasn't sure if Battlefront were allowing cross overs in mods, for example.....

If not, is it something Battlefront would allow as a mod?

Thanks for the advice so far. Made some more progress.
Applied some rag-tagging based on mods by Ryu and Theo. My thanks to them for creating such terrific mods.
I'll see what I can do for a sound mod next.

Yeah, Erwin. I agree not much I can do. Have done some faces. Was hoping I might find some sound bites for few new voices. Ultimately, this may be a pretty limited mod. A shame.

Bottom line it appears there's no way I can alter the model. Seems all i can do is can place a Kukri texture somewhere it wont be too distorted. See 2nd picture.
