Hey everyone. After reading a bit about tactics in general I've come to the conclusion that recon troops are quite expandable. They seem to be sent up front to wait until they get shot and then the main effort can see where the shots come from and react accordingly. My question is not exactly CMBN related but I'm wondering how are those poor guys chosen in real life ? Do you send the dumbest/useless ones in front and hope for the best ?

Hey, I'm looking for opponents as well. I'm a beginner but I just got CMBN / CW and I'd like to play scenarios or QBs. I'm mostly looking for company size engagements since I don't like micromanaging a huge number of units. Hello everyone, I'm still unsure what this thread is about. Is this where I can find H2H opponents ?

I always start by opening the scenario and setting a time limit of 4 hours. This may lead to worse AI plans but I hate losing my pixeltruppen because of an arbitrary sense of urgency. Most of the time I finish under the time limit anyway, it's just that I can't bear to have the clock ticking.

Hello, I just started CMBN and I'm a little overwhelmed with the difficulty. I'm a CMSF veteran but I find myself in tight situations as I can't use modern tactics effectively. Could you guys give me a good reading list about WW2 tactics ? Relevant field manuals, history books etc would be nice. Thanks !
