  1. Looking around at CMFI: Gustav Line screenshot I've noticed one interesting thing on one of 'em:

    There's an axis soldier aiming with panzershreck at Sherman tank. Nothing special, but that soldier was INSIDE the building(1st or basement floor), so - does this mean that infantry will be available to handle Shrecks/Bazookas while they're inside houses?

    Second question is - how the backblast will be worked out?

  2. This looks beautiful! I'll do some testing for you. I'll download it and look for an opponant. Okay, got a small problem or am confused here. Go to your download site and it doesn't seem to download a the scenario file. It looks like it wants to download some executable file, some software progam. Where is the scenario file? Am I looking in wrong spot?

    It's uploaded at multiupload and the file is hosting on multiple file sharing services, just click on any "DOWNLOAD FILE" button and you'll be redirected to the chosen file sharing system, or you can just click on "Direct download" button and you should be able to download *.rar file.

    Hope this'll help with downloading ;)

    Terrain is partly obtained from ARMA2:OA Takistan map. There's no 1:1 match, but I've tried to keep relief terrain,houses location and roads as much as close to the original NE parts of Takistan as I can.

    Tasks:

    USMC

    • Seize and hold Garmarud. - 100 points.
    • Seize and hold Timurkalay. - 200 points.
    • Additional Tasks:
    • Enemy losses: 75% - 100 points.
    • Friendly losses: 20% - 200 points.

    Syrian Army

    • Seize and hold Timurkalay. - 100 points.
    • Seize and hold Garmarud. - 200 points.
    • Additional Tasks:
    • Enemy losses: 40% - 100 points.
    • Friendly losses: 75% - 200 points.

    Forces:

    USMC

    • LAR Platoon(LAV-25) which is loceted at entry zone on the road to Bastam.
    • Escort Platoon on Hummve(M2) will arrive from Garmasar, by the road.ETA 5M.
    • Rifle Company A on AAV-7A1 will arrive from Garmsar, by the road. ETA 5-10M.

    Support:

    • 2 120mm Mortar sections - will be able to provide support in 5-10M.
    • AV-8B II+ Harrier airwing - will be able to provide support in 15-30M.

    Syrian Army

    • Battalion HQ, Recon Platoon, FO Section and D Company(Weapons) are located at the exit of Narran D'an Pass, Road to Loy Manara.
    • Mech.Company of reservists will arrive at the exit of Narran D'an Pass from Loy Manara - ETA 10-15M.
    • Mech.Guards Company will arrive by desert between Narran D"an Pass and road to Feruz Abad. - ETA 15-20M.

    P.S.Sorry for not uploading to the repository, but this is the 1st version.

    It would be nice if you can play it H2H and leave commentaries with suggestion for improvement.

    P.P.S.As soon as I'll understand mechanics of AI planning this scenario will have possibilities to play vs AI both sides. ;)

    0210Hrs June 6th 1944

    Few weeks before Invasion of Normandy thanks to the French resistance, intelligence of Great Britain received information concerning an arrangement of staffs of divisions and battalions of German army.

    1st parachute battalion received an objective to destroy command element of 42nd Jager Division.

    Briefing:

    Allies:

    0210Hrs June 6th 1944

    Few weeks before Invasion of Normandy thanks to the French resistance, intelligence of Great Britain received information concerning an arrangement of staffs of divisions and battalions of German army.

    1st parachute battalion received an objective to destroy command element of 42nd Jager Division.

    At the moment of airdrop, key elements division HQ most likely will be scattered on several sites, one of which is unknown farm near railways.

    The company of airborne infantry of the 1st battalion is allocated for this task.

    Unfortunately after paradrop, the part of a company didn't come in due time to the specified LZ, because waiting, could be threatened to operation failure, HQ makes the decision to operate by own efforts.

    Your task:

    1. Find, identify and elemenate part of a staff of the 42nd division which allegedly is on a farm.

    2. Steal documents which can be at the farm house (Touch farm house).

    On map:

    1st and 2nd platoons, A Company with attached scouts,sniper teams and mortar teams.

    In a type of insufficient information concerning HP of the opponent in this region, the exact quantity of HP of the enemy is unknown. Expect about infantry platoon, machine-gun teams and AA installations.

    1st platoon with support of scout and sniper teams were assigned as pointman team and engaged enemy patrol vehicle.

    There's no doubd that enemy knows about your presence, act quckly,for this operation you have about 30-35 minutes.

    No reinforcements expected, so act by own efforts, keep count your people and bullets.

    Axis:

    0210Hrs June 6th 1944

    Recently Skirmishes with French Resistance became frequent, security measures were strengthened.

    A few hours ago near a farm we heard flight of planes.

    At present key elements of a staff of a division are scattered on several sites, one of which - a farm near railways.

    Near farm house at the West of the road our patrol vehicle was destroyed, according to that we can think that enemy is close and most likely will try to play a speed card, cause in 20-25 minutes garrison parts which are in 40 km to the west of a farm will approach.

    Your task:

    1. Don't allow enemy to elemenate part of a staff of the 42nd division which is at farm.

    2. Protect documents which are at the farm house (Touch farm house).

    On map:

    42nd Jager Div HQ element.

    Jager platoon is attached to the Div HQ as security element, including 2 MG teams.

    Also, your positions are reinforced with AA 88mm installations.

    Support:

    Not available.

    In a type of insufficient information concerning HP of the opponent in this region, the exact quantity of HP of the enemy is unknown. Expect about infantry company with possible attachments as sniper and/or mortar teams.

    Assign your forces near farm, block any possible approaches.

    Looking like how they destroyed a patrol vehicle, part of enemy forces are already close, most likely at SW from railways.

    Notes:

    No reinforcements expected, so act by own efforts, keep count your people and bullets.

  6. Absolutely same here :)

    Well I thought that PBEM is not for me, but you know... there are 3 things that change my opinion about this type of MP gameplay:

    Combat Mission x2 Series don't have turn-based MP :D and that's sad, cause PBEM is the only option in this case.

    Second thing is that if you have something bigger then platoon it's really hard to do in RT, I even could say that it's impossible to watch for every unit in platoon+ games.

    There are 2 things that ease PBEM Game:

    First - Dropbox (http://www.dropbox.com). - Forget about uploading turn on email and then sending it to your opponent.

    Second - H2HH (http://cmmods.greenasjade.net/mods/4548/details). - This thing simplifies PBEM games. After each turn it automatically uploads your turn file to Dropbox and when you receive turn file(you should refresh H2HH), you get it to your game folder.

    Use'em both and PBEM will be looking like turn-based game :).

    And the third thing is that using PBEM doesn't bound you to 1 game at the time. You can have 3, 5 or 10 games going and that's ok.
