WTF is Peng's challange anyway. Is this a battle of wits??
-
Maybe its a bit buggy or maybe I'm just doing it wrong. But i need help identifying what can be done at certain hedges. What are the parameters for the hedges? A tool tip for terrain would be fantastic, if you could mouse over a hedge and it tell you its properties maybe as well as other info for types of terrain elevation etc.
Like it just seems so random as far as what you can see drive through etc. For example I set up an at gun in a low lying hedgrow and i had no line of site.. how do u place these so that u can have them camouflaged maybe blast a spot for them? But at the same time I hooked up said at gun wither a 2 ton which then proceeded to run over said hedgerow.
Then on another battle i am engaged with the enemy across the road wither bocage that's pretty tall and think on both sides. He was able to light my two squads up and mine didn't do anything but stand there unless I manually ordered them to fire. Could it be he did same thing and his units didn't break as fast as mine?
So basically I'm looking for some tips maybe screen shots of what's capable of doing what when it comes to bocage maybe I will take the screens myself later when I'm home and someone here could explain.
Ps I would really like to see some tool tips for unit and terrain info. Good idea?

Hey do you have plans for a mobile app. It be great to have so that way you could see if you had turns available with out having to sit/leave on your pc all the time. Or maybe a way to forward available turns to your email (which most people can check on their phones). Just a thought on how to make this useful tool even more useful.
-
Wow really can this even be acknowledge by someone at BF??
-
So I finally get into a game with someone and it was great I got embarrassed but o well. Anyway when you are using the in game chat the keyboard still gives out active commands.
Is there a setting I need to make this stop or is this known? I was also using my xfire overlay and it was doing the same thing. Basically when you are typing your giving move commands moving the camera around etc.
Just thought I would let you know. Also is there a bug reporting thread.. I didnt see it if so feel free to move this there.
-
The whole situation could be resolved if there was just a built in multiplayer lobby. Even if BF didn't want to fork out the cash to run a server I'm sure it would be simple enough to have an in game web based ip exchange. That lists the type of game you would like to play. Then someone clicks to join your game it would take you to the ip screen and automatcally fill in the ip and tadaa your playing the game. But i guess that would be asking to much huh? I mean who would think to make a common meeting place built into the game you are playing? That's crazy talk.
-
Ok so I got the game and am ready to try my hand at MP. I will play anyway just need to find an opponent. So please pm me if you would like to set up a game.
I have xfire and would like to use it if at all possible. I feel it is a great tool that a lot of people are not taking advantage of. Its basically its own instant messenger, voice chat and it also has its own in-game over lay. It also has the ability to broadcast live feeds of the games you are playing. Which I think is fantastic because then then we would be able to watch each others games live.
Here is a group I started and I hope you guys will join http://www.xfire.com/communities/cmbn/ I know people don't like installing things but this is truely a nice piece of software that should be utilized. My name on xfire is dce21b please add me and join the group.
How do you sign into Bobster? It just seems like a PIA. I dunno just please pm if you are interested in playing.

I have been very dissappointed with the multi player in battlefront games. I know this a niche game and not as popular a resource building strategy games. And thats what I love about it but the lack of finding someone real to play really sucks..
So basically how easy is it to find opponents either for real time or WeGo games?
-
This game has so much potential yet i cant fully enjoy it because it lags so bad.
Im sorry but my laptop which can play Empire TW on maxed settings still doesn't play as slow as this game. I just dont understand why this games code is so horrid.
I wish more RTS developers would go with this concept of game and sudden strike series. Unfortunately no ones gotten it right yet.

Having been in Korea and been a driver in a mechanized unit I can tell you that while its true there's mountains all over and doesn't invite large tank on tank scenarios.
Driving on hills and edges of cliffs is just an everyday event that cant be avoided due to the terrain. So I would have to agree that its a bit annoying that you cant drive up the hills to get to the small villages on top. Though some cases should not be accessible.
-
Minor bug that I have noticed is that sometimes after you have killed enemy infantry they will not shot and are.treated as dead but you still see them laying prone acting as if they are ready to still fight.
-
I've been trying to get the most out of my laptop and its just not happening.
So I have a few questions to the developers... please bear with me im not a total pc geek.
It would seem to me that the game is coded to run on multi core processors but not coded to utilize hyperthreading technology. Is this a correct assumption?
The reason I ask this is because I have been observing my system resources etc to see exactly whats going on with my pc. I have an i7 Q740 @ 1.73 ghz and when running the game I see that the game is only using 4 physical cores and once in awhile i will get a small insignificant spike on one of the virtual cores.
What also bothers me is I also see that sometimes the game will switch from running on the 7th core to the 8th which would be the virtual core. Why does this occur?
Also if im turbo boost by 21x i get almost 2.9ghz speed on each core. So I'm lagging so much on the game. Any of you pc gurus care to chime in?
Does it just come down to this game being not really well optimzed for new technology?
-
It has nothing to do with how many frames you can see with the human eye. It has to do with system performance.
For instance most monitors are 60 or 120 hz. There for when you lock v-sync it locks to your systems refresh rate. There for if you have a 60 hz monitor and continually get 60 fps then its safe to say that your computer can max out the game with no problems lag or any kind of hicups.
So just remember yes when people are asking about fps its to see if the game slideshows or not but also to see what it takes to run a game to its full potential.
-
I was just curious if anyone is able to run this game with no problems what so ever. And getting no lag on defensive missions and/or bomb raids.
Also curious to what systems the devs use to play the game.
-
Its a shame really but heres hopin that they will optimize the code better. The game is fantastic and I enjoy playing it.
But it really seems that the games not broken but its not working either. How is it that everyone says in defense that theres all these calculations running and thats why it lags?
I have a quad processor, and and even though its not as fast as a dual it does have 4 more cores and on top of that I have a CUDA processor on my video card to act as a physX card. Isn't that the whole point of it to do calculations?
I will continue to play ... lol, I fear the airstike, sometimes they get a lil laggy. But at almost full settings and tweaks on my card I hold an average above 20 FPS. So I'm hoping if the sort the bugs out and tweak the code more the game will be that much more enjoyable not for me, but everybody.
-
Hey just got the game and I'm not getting the performance I think I should out of my laptop. I can play empire total war no problems on this thing yet I'm chugging through this game at around 15-20 fps with settings all turned up.
So I'm settling with turning down the settings to get a steady 30 fps. And although the game is playable through mission two of American campaign where you are defending the bridge. It lags horribly when planes come in and strafe the town. I mean like down to probably 5-7 fps at some points.
I tried the suggestions written all over the board and none have worked for me. I'm pretty much seeing it that the game code is bugged and not that stable. Hopefully they will patch and get it sorted out.
Anyways heres my rig
