hello,
yesterday i played a quickbattle.
i had one panther and 2 other tanks .
was moving forward carefully with them and then i parked my panther right beside a house.
tried to move the 2 other tanks to the right flank and then i wanted to move my panther a bit more forward, but he wont move anymore.
left bottom message shows that the tank can not move, but it had no damage and also didnt got any hit. crew was fine and later on after enemy popps up, he shoots at them, but for the whole game it was immobilized and the status text of the tank also shows this.
fuel empty after 5 minutes ?

Sherman was really an answer to 1941, not WWI. Pretty damn good tank in 1942 and early 43. Probably best in the world. Tiger in mid42 was arguably better at tank to tank fighting, but other than that, Sherman wins.

Hmm, try to set your regional setting in Windows control panel to English.
i did that ... didnt worked.
i can not see the future, but i knew, that this funny ideas can not work.
ok ... change to english or chinese or maybe to hiswaelit dont do bad things to "your" computer, so its easy to follow such funny suggestions.
if you have more funny ideas like this, let me know. i do almost everything, if it dont hurts my computer.

If you've had 1500 meter tank encounters, they can't be "duels"...you must mean German Panthers and Tigers sniping at American M4 sitting ducks at 1500 meters.
there are no tigers in this map, only panthers and stug´s

installed the game again, downloaded the patch 1.3.0 again, but to be safe this time from a different server.
applied the patch and file size is still exact 1.249.280 bytes.
all editors are working, the game itself works, only this options.exe wont start.
win 7 64 bit , UAC off, "run as admin" is set.

I would think you'd have your questions answered over there a lot quicker than in this one for a different game entirely.

the same question i have noiw with my now bought game is 1 thread under mine and this is from 06-25-2009
i dont write negative things about something or someone, if i dont think i have a reason.
i also only asked for someone who will be so kind to send one file to me, thats all, because the support from 06-25-2009 told the guy with the same problem, that his option.exe has a different size (and mine just downloded the game and the patch, has the same size).
thats all.

yes i can start them, but options.exe i cant.
also all editors work without setting the option "run as admin".
game itselfs also starts.

no .. the only chance to get games working you buy at battlefront.com, because support fro tow or tow2 is absence.
my idea was that people who use this game, maybe also played tow2 before.
but i guess you allready know this and only wants to play "teacher"

not only me have the problem, that the configuration wont start, but the geme itselfs starts.
someone in the tow-2 forum section (tech supp) told someone other, that the file has a fileszise of 1,252,384 bytes .
wondering that the other guy and also myself has a fileszise of 1.249.280 bytes.
i bought game yesterday, installed it, applied patch 1.30 and can not start the "options.exe" with windows 7 64 bit. also tried to run as an admin, but no change.
maybe an options.exe with the mentioned file size can help.
please send a pm to me and i will give you my emailadress.

i tried everything you said...
have the same problem and my filesize is exactly the same like yours.
also have receipt.txt and the game itselfs runs, but only options.exe wont work.

wondering why tow2 setup (options.exe) wont start.
also have tow (much older) and there the config programm works.
also tried the stetting run as an admin. no change
please help. i use windows7 64 bit and tow, cm:normandie and every other game i own works fine.

All I need is the movie file where your units vanished off the bridge while on it, or once you moved units onto the bridge, that you cannot order them off the bridge.
super idea that you need my movie file. i dont have a movie file or does this games makes moviefiles itselves all the time ?
i told you that i have a save game and inside this savegame you will find all weird things on this main bridge, what i described before.
take the savefile if you want to find out, what the problem will be or leave it.
no video file here .... do you really think i play this game and make videos all time when i play ?

tested a quick battle with tanks only just now.
i know its dark at night, but im sure a tank will recocnize an other tank direkt in front of him, if 20 meters away
in quick battle at least, you almost need to ram enemy vehicles until recognizing them

how to make moves inside the game ? i can send you a savefile. i saved the scenario 2 minutes overtime and short prior end of this battle, due to real life time problems

yesterday i played a battle, but forgott the name of this one.
i choosed germans and had to safe a bridge in the middle of the map.
later some sturmgeschütz and some panthers arrived at the to corners of the map.
the mainbrigde eats 2 of my halftracks and 2 stumgeschütz.
the icon was visible, the vehicle itself dissapered somewhere inside the bridge and it also wasnt possible to move them off the bridge.
looked like also some crew members of a knocked out us-army vehicle was stuck inside the bridge and they was shooting the whole time of this scenario at something.

I had a Sherman 76 and a Panther duelling through some treetops. The trees seemed to stop all the Panther rounds and the Sherman got a lucky lower hull hit and won. Both tanks were under AI free fire control at the time; I had been trying to reverse the Sherman out of trouble, but it stopped where it could somehow see the Panther through the trees, and vice-versa. Seems like the asymmetry of trajectory worked in my favour this time.

now i maybe have to collect all your "facts" which you posted in several other posts and face them to the reallity from that time.
to sad that my grandpa and his brother are dead for many years now. he was pilot and his brother tank commander in ww2 and i remember much of what they said to me regarding air- and tankwar in ww2.
