  1. Hiya,

I've not played in a while but I'm unable to load the game. I've installed it and when I click load it allows me to enter my activation key successfully but when I click play the game loads in a minimized window.

I have a large monitor/tv so I suspect this may be a resolution issue.  I've read that there should be a file I can edit in the game root directory but I can see no such file.

    Any ideas?

  2. I've not played CMBN in a long time and i'm struggling to get it installed. When i install the original i bought in 2011 i get errors which i assume is due to the games age.

The last update i bought was the big bundle last november. ive tried downloading the exe file from there which is a 7gb download but it says that is version 4.03 which i suspect is the engine 4 upgrade which doesnt load after entering my game key.

Where would i find the latest CMBN game installer?

  3. Would someone care to explain why all my allied units in the Alexandria area have really low moral?

Most of the units are hovering around the 20% figure with one even on 8%. units strength are 8 with the lowest being 3.

they've not been in combat, appear to be in supply and attached to hqs.

ive had a look at the manual but im still none the wiser. its march 41 and the front lines haven't moved in that area.

  4. anyone got any tips on how to approach this scenario?

ive tried it twice and failed both times. the 2nd attempt I took a very methodical approach by creeping forward with recon but it was pretty obvious half way through that I wouldn't have enough time to complete it.

it would seem that I would need to rush units forward but surely I would lose to many units that way.

how are other people approaching this scenario and other ones like it?

  5. I had an almost identical experience as the op with the same scenario which is uncanny.

I had a stug (unbuttoned, no cover arc) sitting stationary on a road pointed straight at a gap in some bocage, distance would be 10-15 metres. During the turn I tracked a Sherman move over the field towards to the gap with audio.

It moved into the gap, rotated its turret and took out my stug. The only time it became visible was when it fired by which point it was right in the middle of the gap. It must have taken a good 5 seconds to move dead centre in the gap so im baffled to know how it seen me long enough to take a shot and yet it was invisible to my stug.

It was the most ridiculous and immersive killing moment ive had playing cm. I just cant think of any logical reason how this could've happened in real life.

I know its only a game but this really did show up how poor the los mechanics can be in certain situations.

I still have the pbem turn, I would be interested to hear what a dev or anyone else would make of it after having a look.
