  1. I wondered if it was scheduled the release of new modules.

Honestly I expected after U.S. Marines and British and some other NATO module.

NATO is in Germany, Holland and Canada, but I'd like to see much more openly, for example, France or Italy.

The Netherlands has an army of about 30,000,Canada about 70.000, about 75,000 in Germany, France, about 125,000, Italy has about 110,000(not counting the carabinieri).

Perhaps it would be nice to create a new module with Italy and France, which have also seen larger armies and an allocation of resources than other armies

Obviously I am biased because I am Italian, but I'd like to play a lot CMSF, perhaps with the Italians and French.

    hello all

  2. To be honest, the game is beautiful and I've always been a fan of CombatMission, but I must say I expected something more.

I know that many people this does not matter, but I would have loved to have improved special effects and not the exact same for CMSF.

Fortunately, the sound effects and textures can be partially modified, but I'd like to have the possibility to modify the special effects.

For example, eliminate those awful traces of artillery, (I was in the artillery), when you have 155, I can assure you that the smoke that is produced is a lot and it takes a long time to dissipate

for example, or to change or increase the time of dissipation of the smoke, or above the smoke and flames of burning cars that honestly do not match.

I realize that most people who play this game no matter this, but I would love to make it more immersive.

Or remove the tracer from individual weapons and add the smoke of the shot.

However, it remains a really great game, and if anything the game developers should read this post, maybe you could add a file, for example, "partycles"or similar, where you can change this type of issues.

Anyway congratulations for CMBN is fantastic.

I apologize for my English is very bad.:)

  3. eLicense is a third party product that WE license to provide copy-protection/DRM for our software. Registering the license key takes place on eLicense's server(s). We have an account on this network to manage the license keys that come from our customers, but we do not manage the license server itself or the network connections to it. One or both of these appear to be down at the moment and I've notified Martin, who will in turn notify eLicense (ViaTech).

I do NOT know how long the server or network connection may be down. I don't expect it to be more than a few days (it may come up today). We apologize for the inconvenience, but it is beyond our power to directly rectify at this point. Of course it is bad timing for us, since we recently released a game and so there may be more than the usual number of people attempting to license and unlicense their software (though I doubt that has 'crashed' the server).

Licensing in 'online' or 'off-line' mode both require the license server to be up. The 'online' method attempts to license directly from the computer that has the game installed on it via a dialog box. The 'off-line' method requires you to go to a website, which in turn communicates with the same license server to generate an 'off-line' activation of your license. So both processes will not be working at this point.

Such server outages are pretty rare for eLicense, so the current situation isn't a common one for us.

    Thanks for reply

But now you have to solve the problem.

I hope that it will not take long.

  4. Back to the subject of the animations:

I disagree with those who say that the animations are not important, but enough to have a simulation model advanced.

    The animations are essential.

If you want to create a war game, one must remember that war is not something abstract, but is made and fought by men.

Then recreate the movement animations and all that can realistically make the movement of soldiers, makes the game very realistic.

I would rather have a game with some inaccuracy in more than revised animations or management of the infantry too simplistic.

Some have told me that there is a difference between realism and immersive ..... no.

for me the same thing if it is fun when I play a game of war.

Sorry if my English is not perfect!

    regards

  5. My impression is that it is identical to Combat Mission Shock Force.

Apart from the 3D models, from what we saw the animations have not changed.

I give advice to the developers of the game, change the animations! especially with regard to the soldiers on their knees or while running.

    regards

  6. The infantry control in TOW is only "better" because you can manage individual infantrymen. When they move as a squad, I am less than impressed, and I'd rather keep squad controls rather than infantry controls. :)

    to do just that!

you ever noticed that in CMSF a team of 8 or 9 soldiers are often piled up in an area of 4 or 5 meters?

the ability to have their troops as needed depending on how many you have, is the basis for combat infantry

if I have 20 or 30 soldiers and I have to attack a front of 500 meters, I can not allow that there are 20 soldiers in a small space, so why just a lucky shot and I fight all out.

a commander of any level should be able to cover its entire area with the men who in the same way.

if I wanted to send a single man or two men in a corner or in an advanced post, currently you can not do

It is the kind of basic formation:

if I'm advancing in open field I would never think to make the men in my pile.

I put them in single file, or open line in putting so much space between a man and another, so may be less vulnerable.

    or posture:

if I am in an alley of a city can not allow my troops are lying on the ground because it would be too vulnerable from above.

instead so that I can decide whether to put them on their knees or standing ready to move faster.

  7. I was wondering if someone like my idea:

would not be nice to play a game that has the graphic TOW or TOW2 with the simulation and management of CMSF?

I do not see why you should always attach a nice graphics for a RTS.

It would not be all good and two together?

would not be nice to play with the CMSF management of infantry, or animations to TOW?

I like very CMSF, but in my opinion is below TOW with regard to the infantry, especially the animations and management.

In my TOW has the absolute best in animation infantry with a very realistic management tactics.

why not pull out a nice expansion of the type for example "animation pack" or "effect pack" etc.

CMSF is beautiful, but why not make it exceptional?

    someone who think like me?

  8. I don't think redoing the animations for the entire game would make it any more realistic. In fact, animations have nothing to do with realism. FPS games have good animations, and by far and large are NOT realistic.

I'm glad to have new animations, but I'd rather BFC focus on other areas of the game, which is what seems like they are doing.

I guess you might under-estimate how much work is required for these "small improvements".

depends on what we mean by realism.

In my opinion, realism is the ability of a game to give you the feeling as close to the real

Animations can now be taken to another close game to the real

I believe that the animations are essential to increase the realism of the game.

Have you ever seen a soldier lying on the ground and shoot while another is perfectly in front of the knees?

Things that are unfortunately in CMSF is often, I do not have a great military experience.

I was an officer of mountain artillery ,and some things in CMSF never fails in reality.

The game can be beautiful, but then begins to list all the negative things, the final assessment will be low.

This is not the case of CMSF, but if you improve this aspect, it would be perfect.

while remaining one of the most beautiful games

    regards

  9. In my opinion, it should completely change all the animations in the game today.

Add the animation of the mortar or the jump of the wall, in my opinion does not solve the problem.

must re-create, for example the way here are the soldiers on their knees, or when running! and all static positions, that is when they are standing still or in the knee.

would be much more realistic if it were issued an update for now to the animations

are only small improvements that I think would improve the game greatly, while remaining one of the most fun.

    regards

  10. The weakest point of CMSF are the animations.

From what I've seen it appears to me that there has been a big change by now.

For a game like this, the animation may seem a superfluous thing, but instead serve to make the realism of the game high.

And still remain, however, one of the best games in the world that exists.

    Regards

  11. Would not it be better to go back?

Looking at these old CMSF screen, I realized that the positions and animations of the characters were much better than now.

Especially the race, the soldiers finally ran straight

    http://static1.filefront.com/images/yjkiwneyhi.jpg

and even when they were in the knee was much better.

    http://static2.filefront.com/images/wuqhblvzun.jpg

I wonder if we could somehow put those animations, which I had much more realistic than those of today.

    Perhaps:rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes:
