Why there is no "refresh monkey" thread by now? Maybe that's the reason they don't release it?

Played the micro-campaign "Operation Sandstorm" by Meach? I think it's really good, although quite easy. And it's all about "open desert armour engagements".

Isn't the "water" the "blueish" gravel of CMSF you can choose in the editor?

Only the syrians do have mines don't they? So if you played with red engineers they should already have known where the mines are.I played with red engineers and they can find minefield...Sorry for my bad english...

Some things may have changed by patches... but here you go:
Basic Training
This is the easiest setting to play the game. The following special
rules apply:
- Friendly units are always spotted
- Spotting information is instantly shared
among teams (aka “Borg Spotting”)
- Troops suffer slightly fewer casualties and are
less likely to panic
- Treating wounded soldiers (“buddy aid”) is
extremely fast
- Artillery and air support arrives extremely fast
- Enemy units are always fully identified once
spotted
- The life/death status of enemy vehicles is
immediately displayed.
Veteran
Most people familiar with the game system will prefer this setting.
It’s a fair balance between realism and fun, not burdening the
player with unnecessary details or waiting times. The following
special rules apply:
- Friendly units are always spotted
- Enemies are not always immediately identified
once spotted and can appear as generic “Enemy
contacts” (but less often than at Elite level)
- Spotting information is distributed among
teams using the standard Command & Control
rules
- Treating wounded soldiers is faster than in
real life
- Artillery and air support arrives faster than in
real life
- The life/death status of enemy vehicles is
hidden for a while until the crew bails out or the
vehicle is burning
Elite
The most difficult setting, it introduces a number of realistic restrictions
on what the player can do and when. While realistic,
these features also require more effort and attention from the
player during the game, something that not everybody might
consider fun. So we made it an optional setting for hardcore
wargamers.
- Friendly units need to be spotted just like
enemy units. If you have a friendly unit not in
line of sight or contact with another friendly
unit, then the only way to find this unit is by
either re-establishing contact with another of
your units or by clicking through the chain of
command in the game interface, jumping from
unit to unit.
- Enemies often need to be identified and until
then appear as generic “Enemy contacts”
- Treating wounded soldiers takes a realistic
amount of time
- Artillery and air support take a realistic
amount of time before arriving
- Commands may not be issued when the game
is paused

I don't remember the details, but it's in the manual .

1.: click on the enemy unit to see who sees it.
2.: play in veteran mode to allways see your own units.

I don't know Ross Kemp and I think this series is quite lurid but there is some "sad" footage of the viking...

Thanks for the response Madmatt and good to hear that there will be something done for tcp multiplay in 1.05, but TCP isn't broken since 1.04. It is unplayable since 1.01.
There may be some NEW "I can't connect at all" bugs introduced in 1.04 (I, by the way, can connect) but I want to see one post of someone who played a TCP game (started without waiting, and not the really tiny maps) without serious bugs which made the game unplayable.
There are passengers in trucks and humvees floating in the air,
half of a squad stays put when you give an order,
icons are floating somewhere but not near the unit they are presenting,
units don't respond at all,
huge lags on bigger maps (I have an 16Mbit conncection with good ping to my opponent,
and so on.
Sorry to say this, but I feel kinda fooled when you say all this isn't happending or just a bug of 1.04.
Anyway, thanks for this great game (at least soloplay ) and for the fantastic support.

Feels good not to be alone...
Let's hope for 1.05...

Ok. It's not 3... but 5?
Multiplayer is busted since the game was released... I was able to connect with 1.04 too, but there were strange bugs wich aren't there in soloplay. Like the signs are far away from the unit itself and units are not reacting for the orders their given... and it wasn't something like "hey they are busy doing something else" they were there for 10 minutes and they don't reacted for an "look this direction" order...
and this are just the little things... we waited 2 minutes before we hit the "go" button... if you wait less, there is no chance to play any "normal" game...
please Steve, Rune or someone else from the real guys... reply to this post annd tell me you are working on this...
thanks..

Hi all.
I'm fresh registered but not new to this forum...
I'm playing CM since the first Demo of CMBO and nearly exclusively TCPip with my brother.
While the offline solo play of CMSF is really enjoyable since 1.04, onlineplay is simply not possible. There are so many bugs I don't know where to start...
I read this forums since many years but i haven't read anything from the mods about the busted onlineplay in CMSF.
What's even more strange is the fact that only 3-4 people in this forum have complained about TCPIP multiplayer in CMSF.
Am I the only one who wants to play online and not pbem?
Where are you people?
Regroup!

P.S.: Sorry for my bad english... I'm german
