I get the same issue described above. Demo starts off playing smoothly with great framerates, then right about the time that the Germans counterattack, the framerate drops to next to zero, making the game totally unplayable

Well, I figured it out. You need to run the mission editor as Administrator in Vista or your changes won't take effect. Vista is really annoying >.<

Awesome. I figured out how to change the backpack set in the mission editor. The only problem now is when I go into the game to play the mission I changed, none of my changes take effect. The units still have their original weapons. I go back to the mission editor, and behold It shows that all the MGs have been changed to MG42s, yet I still see MG34s when I play the mission. Any ideas as to what I'm doing wrong?

I'm a little disappointed that the late war German forces never get the MG-42 at the squad level. I would like to know how to replace the MG-34s with MG-42s. Sorry for asking such a basic question, but I've looked and looked on the forums and couldn't find an answer. Thx for your help.
